Wedding Planning

August has been a pretty exciting month in the wedding planning department. We've now entered our 365 day count down and things are starting to feel more real and near! 18.08.2018 will be here before we know it!

So, I have most things under control, I've had a long time to plan and wanted to make sure that all of my first choice suppliers would be available!

My latest purchase was a caricaturist which I am so excited about! We booked Barrie James after seeing lots of his work at different events. I think it will be a great ice breaker for a our daytime reception and will help to fill in the gaps during the ''boring bits''. I also like that guests get to take their drawing home, it'll be a lovely way to remember our perfect day.

We're having a pretty laid back day with family and friends. We have 60 daytime guests and 150 evening guests.

I've pretty much planned it all. I just need to choose bridesmaids dresses, find suits for the groomsmen and decide on a videographer. I'm still in 2 minds about a photo booth, but everything is going swimmingly!

I'm starting to feel like I'm forgetting something but I think that's because I've been planning for 2 years and have everything done quite early, I feel like there's something I should be doing but my check list is full of ticks.

So that's my little wedding planning update! I'd love to hear in the comments below something you wish you had at your wedding, something you regret having at your wedding or something you think would be a hit at a wedding!

  6. Oh congratulations!! I remember that the planning could get so stressful! People get mad when you don't ask them to be a bridesmaid, everyone has different opinions on music and allergies in the food have to be sorted out. And I only had 40 people at my wedding! But it'll all come together for the most beautiful day!

  7. Ok I do have to say that booking a caricaturist is the most awesome thing I have ever heard of at a wedding. Having him draw all sorts of things would create priceless memories for you in the future. Should I ever get married again, I will have to remember this.

  11. So sweet, congratulation to you too and lots of love. I can`t imagine how impatient you must be until the big event. I am not married but when am at the weddings I like to observe. I would consider karaoke and instant photo booth hire.
